Drop Down Day / Off Timetable Day Pack - A set of 6 lessons to cover a Drop Down Day (6 hours) all about careers and enterprise. The Drop Down Day was put together for Year 10 originally, but all the resources are editable and well-differentiated so it could be used with any year group KS4 / KS3 with a tweak or so. The overall theme for the series of KS4 Drop Down Days was ‘Independent Living’, so this is just one in a series of six which ran throughout the year. This particular day was run just before the Year 10s went off for work experience, as we decided that this would be a great way to prepare them and convey the importance of focusing on their possible future employment opportunities. As 25% of Britains now class themselves as self-employed, two out of the six sessions also have a large focus on entrepreneurship and enterprise skills. All these individual lessons have been rated very highly by Tes users and are tried and tested in my own department.
